TMS gave me a good deal for a two year renewal of The New Yorker. They wanted a credit card #.
I told them I don't give that out with a cold call. Okay, then, the rep said, "We can do it with your bank account # and routing #." No, I want a paper bill from The New Yorker. "Mr.
Richards, I don't know that the price of paper has literally doubled in the past year." [No, it hasn't.] Moral: never give an unknown your credit card #, even if they know your name and what magazine you subscribe to. Can't imagine how the employees of this company sleep at night.
